How to gain followers on your blog?

Hi Everyone! How are you all? So, recently some of you asked me how I gained my followers and that’s how this post came about. I just want to help you guys, by giving some tips and advice that can help you all get more and more followers.

<1> Go to the comment section of a blog post and follow all the bloggers

I think majority of us have done this. So, literally you just click onto a blog post and you comment, or look at the people who have commented and you follow them. Sometimes, they follow back sometimes they don’t.

<2> The other way around 

Comment on a blog post and let people find you. Instead of you finding them.

<3> Blog Party

This is honestly one of the best ways to find new followers and it’s benefits everyone, make sure you join one.

<4> Comment or spam on their blog so they notice you

I know some bloggers don’t like it when people do this but it’s kind of smart because it’s get the blogger’s attention. OKAY, GUYS! WHAT I MEANT BY SPAM IS PRETTY MUCH LIKE LIKING AND COMMENTING ON PEOPLE’S POST! NOT SPAMMING THEM WITH WERID COMMENTS!

<5> It takes time

I know a lot you want tonnes of followers but sometimes it takes time and I feel like you shouldn’t rush into things because there would be a point when your blog with reach it’s peak. Don’t worry if someone else has a lot followers because it doesn’t matter.

<6> Be more active

Stay consistent with your blogging schedule and interact with the members on the community!

<7> Post more!

Write and share your ideas with the rest of the world! ❤

Remember it’s really the choice of the blogger whether or not they want to follow you or not because it’s all up to them. I don’t think you should be petty, if they don’t follow you back.

  2. What great and helpful tips ❤ I have actually never 'attended' a blogger party – However, since you've written that it's a great way to interact and discover new bloggers, then maybe I should consider doing so.
    I think my piece of advise would be; to be original and make original content. Not that it's a No Go to replicate someone's ideas, but I personally love to read and see new blog post ideas. That way people will find your blog unique and are more likely to follow, because your blog doesn't look like a thousand others.

    1. Hi ☺ A blog party is a post made by another blogger where they allow their followers and persons who aren’t their followers to promote their blogs. From what I’ve seen, most blog parties happen when a blogger reaches a milestone in their blogging career. Some “blog parties” are called meet and greet. You can search for these posts in Reader. I hope this helps 😊💕

  10. I was reading another persons blog about how often a person should post and the advice was, once to twice a week… do you agree? I know for me, I write when my creative juices are flowing and my soul needs it but then I feel like I am over posting??? What do you think?

  11. First and foremost, in my opinion, consistent writing is key. The follower number keeps on increasing gradually but one should post without worrying about it. I know everyone wants many people to read their posts but still it should come as second point. One should not specifically write for more visits. Then that becomes an exercise.
    Social media can be helpful but commenting on similar topics can be more helpful. Also the right optimization and tags. Patience is important ☺

  15. I do agree that blog parties help a lot! But it’s really to increase how many people read your blog, not just your followers, because I’ve seen blogs with thousands with followers but one or two likes per post. Also, it’s also about the quality of the post, not just the quantity. Someone can post many posts, but they’re not interesting. To me, it’s more about the quality of the post. Nice post!

  24. These are great tips. Also, take advantage of blog hops. Also and this goes in with blog party Promote Your blog and invite others to promote theirs it works. Guest Blogging is another way if you can get guest bloggers. I’m in my second time trying to get get guest bloggers and believe it’s not easy. but it does help.

  31. I just got started out and I AM SO LOST! I just wanted to have somewhere to write all of my different opinions because I get bored all the time. I have no idea where to actually start. My “blog” is scheduled to drop tomorrow and I have many posts already written, but I actually have no idea what I’m doing. :/ Thank you for these tips tho because I will for sure use them as I keep going. 🙂

I am just starting my business as a new designer, and thought blogging would be an excellent way to express myself through this journey as I grow.
